Disney Photo Pass Lenses

Disney photo pass lenses can be unlocked once you purchase Genie+ and are accessible when you are in the various Walt Disney World parks. You can take selfies or some cool AR (Augmented Reality) of a particular ride or section of the park.

Some of the lenses are specific to either a park or a ride. Such as 'Everest'. And other lenses allow you to add new friends :) to your selfies. Check out my new friend below.

To access the Disney Photo Pass Lenses. Go to your MyDisneyExperience app on your phone.

  1. Make sure you have purchased Genie+ for that specific day.

  2. Click on the icon for Disney Photo Pass Lense (next to Mobile Order)

  3. Scroll through the lense options to find the one you want. Start playing around. Each option will give you guidance on what to do or what location of the park you have to be in for it to activate.

  4. Each photo you take saves to the camera roll on your phone.

Tip: I do not recommend the Aladdin Genie lense. I did not find it flattering. But check it out for yourself and let me know what you think.

When you open up the lense it has a scroll bar at the bottom of the various options. They work just like the social media filters you can scroll through. Play around with them, they are very forgiving. If they do not turn out well, delete the photo from your camera roll and try it again. Take them with your group or by yourself.

Have you tried the Mickey Ice cream bar filter? Give it a try and see if it satisfies your craving? LOL

Can you tell we were taking a break from the heat? We were having fun trying all the different filters. Which one is your favorite?

This filter for Hollywood Studios Tower of Terror was cool how it changed my photo to look so ominous.

One of the most nostalgic lenses is seeing Cinderella's Castle in Magic Kingdom over the years. You can go all the way back to 1971 to see the scaffolding and construction to see how it changed over the years. You will have to be pointing your phone at the Castle for this effect to work. But it is so fun.

Give the lenses a try and tell me which is your favorite!

Cheers,

Lisa
